James M. Barrington



A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Barrington attended Westminster College on a soccer/academic scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.  He continued his education at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate.

Mr. Barrington handles various state and federal complex civil litigation matters including personal injury, construction defect, and products liability cases, as well as representing clients at the appellate level both at the Supreme Court of Nevada and the U.S. Ninth Circuit.  He has been involved in numerous published decisions, including Westchester Fire Ins. Co. v. Mendez, 585 F.3d 1183 (9th Cir. Nev. 2009); Nextep Inc. v. CMD Corp., 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 99447 (D. Nev. July 17, 2012); Copper Sands Homeowners Ass’n v. Flamingo 94 L.L.C., 335 P.3d 203; 2014 Nev. LEXIS 104; 130 Nev. Adv. Rep. 81, (Nev. 2014); and Mt. View Rec., Inc. v. Imperial Commer. Cooking Equip. Co., 305 P.3d 881; 2013 Nev. LEXIS 55; 129 Nev. Adv. Rep. 45 (Nev. 2013).

Mr. Barrington lives in Las Vegas with his wife of 22 years and two active boys.
