Ms. Beck is an AV-Rated partner of the firm, practicing in California and Arizona, and is a founding partner of our Arizona office. A native Californian, Ms. Beck earned her undergraduate degree from San Diego State University before graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990. Ms. Beck practices in the areas of employment law, general defense of a wide variety of civil litigation matters, and construction defect (representing developers and general contractors), and also devotes much of her practice to representing the wide variety of legal needs of clients in the non-profit and visitor/tourism industry including the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Reuben H. Fleet Science Central, Balboa Park Central, and many others, acting as outside in-house counsel.
Ms. Beck was named a Top Rated Lawyer of 2013 and 2014 by AmLaw and Martindale Hubbell in the areas of Litigation and Labor and Employment. She has both litigated and supervised the litigation of hundreds of civil cases. Ms. Beck writes frequently on substantive matters relating to her practice for the American Bar Association (Section of Litigation), Defense Research Institute (Women in the Law Committee), and the Claims Litigation Management Alliance (member of various committees including Diversity, Construction, and Restaurant Retail & Hospitality). She is also a frequent speaker on a wide range of legal matters including dispute resolution and various litigation topics.
She has been married to her husband, Stephen, for 25 years, and they have three children: Ryan (20), Madison (17), and Evan (16).
